Snake Plant (sansevieria zeylanica)

The long sword-like leaves are dark green with wavy lighter green bands. They have rather a rugged, shabby-chic appearance often with rough, brown edges. Some minor leaf cracking is also common. Easy care, shade loving, hard to kill, air-purifying... these beautiful plants have it all. Comes in our classic pebbled cement vessel. 7" pot. 

Snake Plant Care: 

H20: Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering, then water thoroughly and allow to drain freely. Do not allow the plant to sit in water as this will cause root rot.

Light: Relatively hardy plant which enjoys conditions from full sun to light shade and is also able to adapt to low light conditions if preferred.

Food: Apply a weak dose of cactus or general purpose feed once a month at most during the growing season. Sansevieria are low maintenance plants and don't require a lot of food.

Temperature: This Snake Plant will be happy in temperatures between 15°C and 23°C. It can also tolerate temperatures as low as 10°C (but no lower) for short periods.

Air Purifying: Sansevieria filter airborne toxins such as benzene and formaldehyde and are part of our clean air plant collection.

Pets: Snake plants are mildly toxic if eaten. Keep away from children and animals. Do not consume.
