The Art of Distilling || The Alchemy

A Traditional Copper Workshop in Herbal Alchemy.

This is a premium, hands-on experience designed for those who are truly ready to step into the world of traditional distillation. It's an intimate gathering, held on subleased land where you'll harvest your own botanicals, work with your own 3L copper still, and gain a deep, personal understanding of the art. Each class will hold 6 people. 

Out of respect for the craft and experience, this class will not be recorded- it is meant to be lived, felt, and practiced in the moment. I know this is a significant investment, and fully understand that it may not be for everyone. If these in person workshops go well, I may explore pre-recorded virtual classes in the future, but this offering is meant to be an immersive experience for those ready to learn hands-on.

Over the course of one full day, you will be guided through the art and practice of traditional distillation. We'll explore the differences between hydrosols and essential oils, dive into both steam and water distillation methods, and learn to work with plants from our bioregions in a respectful, seasonally attuned way. We'll talk temperatures, technique, safety, and those little secrets that only come from years of doing the work.

• A full-day workshop outside- held in a small, intentional group (limited to six participants for deeply personal experience and meaningful one-on-one connection) 

• Your very own 3L copper still, used during the workshop and yours to take home-along with all the tools you need to begin distilling on your own.  

• A seasonal plant-based lunch, with plenty of snacks and herbal sips to keep you feeling cared for all day long.

• A detailed distillers notebook - filled with notes, formulas, and time-honored rituals to guide you as you begin, and to carry with you on your path. 

• Practical instruction to create your own hydrosols, essential oils, and infused products with confidence.
