Acknowledgement of Land and Responsibility

As a steward of this land, I hold deep gratitude for the Indigenous peoples who have cared for it long before me. I acknowledge that, as a white woman, I have benefited from societal systems that have made certain aspects of my journey easier, even as I have faced challenges and worked hard to build my life and business.

Reconnecting with the traditions of my heritage is a process of learning and unlearning- one that requires honoring the histories, wisdom and resilience of those before me. I recognize that the practice of taking from the land to create goods for sale can feel at odds with traditions where the lands gifts are shared freely. While modern times often require balance between giving and sustaining a livelihood, I remain committed to practices that give back to the land through thoughtful stewardship, ethic harvesting, and nurturing its ongoing health.
