Lets face it- spring might be on the calendar, but its still sleepy out there (unless its from the greenhouse) Not quite sunshine and blossoms, not quite cozy winter. It's that weird in-between. So I did what any botanical maker would do when the gardens not quite ready - I wandered down the organic section at the grocery store for inspiration. A little pineapple caught my eye, then some mint. Some basil ...a bundle of lemongrass and just like that, produce isle sugar scrub was born. 

Call it grocery store alchemy or call it spring in a jar- I call it delicious. This refreshing jar will wake up your skin after that long stretch of winter. A bright blend of pineapple, mint, basil, and lemongrass- each chosen from the organic section with touch of spontaneity. 

Medium Exfoliation. Featuring Organic Cane Sugar. A natural source of glycolic acid (an AHA), sugar breaks down layers of dead skin and smooths the skin’s surface. It also speeds up rehydration, keeping skin conditioned and moisturized.

How To Use: Allow water to run 5 mins to soften skin (however some people prefer on dry skin for more aggressive exfoliation)  Apply the scrub in circular motions; start at your feet and move upwards towards your heart to enhance circulation. Maintain gentle pressure. Rinse throughly and then apply your favourite oil or lotion while your skin is still damp to lock in moisture. Try once a week for optimal benefits. Do not use on face due to the abrasive nature of sugar - it can cause micro-tears on delicate facial skin. 

Note: Unlike a salt scrub - this sugar scrub is gentle enough to use weekly. If you are looking for more exfoliation try dry brushing prior to use and your skin will soak up the rich plant extracts and oils intended to heal and rejuvenate.
