What is face Oil? Face oils can function as emollients, which add moisture, and as occlusives, which lock in moisture. Each type of face oil has a unique combination of essential nutrients and fatty acids that nourish and revitalize skin by strengthening and repairing the lipid barrier within the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of the skin)

Meet The Oils:

Jojoba Oil: It contains oodles of vitamins, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory properties, but what sets it apart from the others is that it’s technically not an oil, but a wax ester. Jojoba oil has a similar molecular structure and composition to sebum, which the skin naturally produces for moisturization. Translation: When you slather it on your face, jojoba oil mimics the skin’s sebum and balances out your complexion. It's loaded with antioxidants, such as vitamins A and E, and omega-6 fatty acids, which are essential components of the skin’s barrier. It also acts as a humectant, meaning it works to retain moisture in the skin. It’s rich in amino acids, the building blocks of collagen.

Plum Oil: is a hydrator and anti-inflammatory ingredient that brightens and plumps skin, protects against radical damage and oxidative stress, and aids in cellular repair, sebum production, and skin turnover. It is loaded with omega fatty acids, specifically linoleic and oleic acids, that help support the skin barrier. Rich in Oleic Fatty Acids and Vitamin E, it is deeply hydrating and absorbs into the skin to leave a soft, smooth, satin-like finish. I am obsessed with it. (give me all the plums)

Argan Oil: where to start with so many benefits. It protects from sun damage, moisturizes skin, treats a number of skin conditions, treats acne, heals skin infections, improves wound healing, soothes atopic dermatitis and has anti-aging effects...shall I keep going?  Argan oil is one of the best oils for tightening skin on the face. It is rich in vitamin E, antioxidants, and other nutrients that can help improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Lets gooooo Argan.

Rosehip Oil: One of my personal favourites. It contains a wealth of vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids that can help nourish and hydrate your skin. It also contains essential fatty acids, including linoleic and linolenic acid. Fatty acids help keep cell walls strong so they don’t lose water. Natural exfoliation with rosehip oil can help reduce dullness and leave you with glowing, vibrant skin. The vitamin A, or retinol, in rosehip oil encourages skin cell turnover.

Sea Buckthorn Oil: It's moisturizing properly plumps skin and smooths fine lines, it protects from the free radical damage responsible for key signs of aging, and can visibly repair existing damage. It is rich in fatty acids which are a key component of ceramides. Rich in antioxidants. Supports skin regeneration. Anti-inflammatory properties. Improves skin tone and texture.

Elderberry Seed Oil: It absorbs quickly and is deeply penetrating. It nourishes thoroughly, softening dry, rough skin. It smoothes out wrinkles for a more delicate appearance, and reduces inflammation, pigmentation and the appearance of blemishes such as dark spots or fine lines by stimulating a healthy collagen production to counteract signs of ageing and damage from free radicals.

Prickly Pear Oil: rich in essential fatty acids, omega-6 and -9. The oil offers antioxidant protection from free radicals and has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties + its full of flavonoids and zinc which helps ease inflammation and calm irritation. Rich in amino acids, to stimulate collagen production, promoting faster cell turnover. And finally, it also contains vitamin K, which brightens under-eye dark circles and also promotes your skin’s elasticity.

Pomegranate Seed Oil: It is rich in antioxidants that have moisturizing properties and fade away fine lines and wrinkles from the skin. Boosts collagen production, enhances skin elasticity, reduces the appearance of scarring, promotes the reversal of skin damage, and leaves lasting moisture without leaving a greasy residue or clogging pores.

Calendula Oil: has anti-inflammatory properties that can help + support calm redness and inflammation. It is rich in omega 6 nutrients that are responsible for retaining moisture and preventing excess water loss. Calendula's growth-stimulating properties, boost collagen production and the antioxidants found in calendula have skin brightening benefits and protect against free radicals from UV rays.

Vitamin E: is an antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties that are effective in maintaining skin health. It also has moisturizing and healing properties that help to boost the barrier function of your skin. Vitamin E is also known to reduce hyperpigmentation and wrinkles, besides maintaining skin health.

Frankincense Oil: can strengthen skin health, even out complexion, and add elasticity to the skin. Most noteworthy, it has a rejuvenating effect, especially on mature skin. It minimizes wrinkles and fine lines and reduces the appearance of scars and blemishes.

Neroli Oil: because of its rich chemical composition, neroli oil provides various skin benefits, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and moisturizing characteristics. Moisturizing and hydrating, anti-aging, skin regeneration, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, astringent effect, emotional benefits, antioxidant protection, and balancing sebum production.

Prairie Sage Oil: reputed to eliminate toxins, provide relief to minor skin abrasions, diminish the appearance of blemishes, and address stretch marks, sores, and swelling. Its moisturizing and conditioning properties help soothe dryness and irritation.

Rose Oil: one of the best anti-aging oils you can find. Not only it is moisturizing, anti-inflammatory and repairing, but it is also full of powerful antioxidants. Antioxidants protect the skin against free radicals and prevent the damage oxidative stress can make.
