Wild Rose Hydrosol
Welcome to the 2026 Harvest Season. This was the wettest rose season we’ve ever known. The fields lush, the petals bright, and the wild bees seemed to be everywhere dancing through blossoms faster than our hands could harvest. This year’s wild rose came through crisp and fresh, less honeyed than years past, with a clearer green brightness beneath the soft floral notes.
Proudly distilled in small batches using a traditional copper alembic still. Now housed in a 118 ml amber glass bottle to help protect these living waters from light and preserve their delicate botanical nature. What you’re left with is a hydrosol that carries the rose’s living spirit - gentle, wild, and beautifully alive.
What’s a Hydrosol? Pure plant magic, my friend. Hydrosols are the aromatic “living” waters created during the steam distillation of botanicals. While essential oils are the more concentrated extract, hydrosols are the softer side of the plant - powerful when distilled properly, but gentle enough to mist directly onto skin, no dilution needed.
They’re also easier on the earth, using far less plant material while still holding the scent, character, and herbal goodness of the plant itself.
Actual Benefits. Besides the fact that it smells amazing.
Wild rose hydrosol is loved for its ability to:
Calm redness and irritation
Hydrate and refresh dry or sun-touched skin
Soothe acne-prone or inflamed areas
Gently tone and support the skin’s natural pH
Offer antioxidant-rich care for tired or weathered skin
Revive dull skin and soften the appearance of fine lines
How to Use
Mist onto clean skin morning and night as a toner, or anytime throughout the day as a cooling botanical pick-me-up.
You can also use it to set makeup, freshen linens, mist your hair, or bring the scent of wild Alberta into your space.
Try it on clean skin, fresh out of the shower - the perfect time to help lock in moisture.
Tiny Truth: You could buy rose hydrosol anywhere. But this one bloomed through a wet Alberta season, was kissed by more wild bees than we have ever seen, gathered by hand, and steamed by yours truly in our copper still.
Not to be dramatic, but it’s basically the prairie after rain in a bottle.
A Few Notes: Store in the fridge for an extra-refreshing spritz and extended shelf life - up to one year. This is especially helpful if you’re purchasing multiple bottles. Best used within 6 months of opening for peak freshness. As always, patch test before full use if you have sensitive skin.
Winter Note: During colder months, hydrosols may be shipped in BPA-free plastic bottles to help prevent breakage and protect the integrity of the hydrosol during freezing temperatures. We recommend transferring your hydrosol to the provided glass bottle upon arrival for continued storage.
