Sweetgrass Hydrosol

Sweetgrass is especially limited this year. (although we had an exceptional harvest) We donated our full tobacco harvest and 90%  of our sweetgrass harvest to auction, with proceeds supporting wildfire relief in indigenous communities. If the field allows we will do one small harvest mid September 2026.

A little piece of the prairie, gathered and distilled in the long days of summer. We gather our sweetgrass in the long days of summer and bring it back to the apothecary, where it is slowly distilled in small batches into this quiet botanical water.

The long green blades. Warm earth. Hands gathering slowly beneath a wide Alberta sky. That soft, unmistakable sweetness that rises when the grass is brushed, braided, or warmed by the sun.

The scent is delicate, as true hydrosols often are - soft green grass, sun-warmed hay, and the faintest trace of sweetness. Less like a fragrance, and more like standing in the field where it grew.

Mist it over the skin, through the air, onto linens, or simply keep it close as part of your daily ritual.

2026 Field Note: Medicine for skin and soul with a gentle, light scent. 100 bottles captured in the height of this harvest. Try it for cleansing energy and grounding practices. A gentle, botanical refresh for skin. Housed in a 118 ml amber glass bottle to help protect the delicate botanical compounds and volatile oils from light.

Winter Note: During colder months, hydrosols are shipped in BPA-free plastic bottles to prevent breakage and protect the integrity of the blend. We recommend transferring your hydrosol to the provided glass bottle upon arrival for continued storage.
