Wild Rose Hydrosol
Welcome to the 2025 Harvest Season. The roses were full, the days were warm, and the bees were happy.
Proudly handcrafted in Alberta. Distilled in small batches using a traditional copper alembic still. We distill low and slow — think of it as romancing the plant, not forcing it. No high-heat pressure to “rip out” oils. Just steady low heat, time, and patience. What you’re left with is a hydrosol that carries the rose’s medicinal spirit — gentle, wild, and potent.
What’s a Hydrosol? Pure plant magic, my friend. Hydrosols are the aromatic “living” waters that form during the steam distillation of botanicals. While essential oils are the powerhouse extract, hydrosols are the softer side — powerful when distilled properly, but gentle enough to mist directly onto skin, no dilution needed. They’re also easier on the earth, using far less plant material while still holding all that good herbal medicine.
Actual Benefits (besides the fact that it smells divine):
Calms redness and irritation
Hydrates + refreshes dry or sun-touched skin
Soothes acne-prone and inflamed areas
Gently tones and supports skin’s natural pH
Rich in antioxidants to support healing
A favorite for softening fine lines and reviving dull skin
How to Use: Mist onto clean skin morning and night as a toner, or anytime throughout the day as a cooling botanical pick-me-up. You can also use it to set makeup, freshen linens, or bring the scent of wild Alberta into your space. Try it on clean skin, fresh out of the shower — the perfect time to lock in all that moisture.
Tiny Truth: You could buy rose water anywhere — but this one? It bloomed under the prairie sun, brushed by bumblebee wings, and was kissed into steam in our copper still. Not to be dramatic, but it’s basically Alberta in a bottle.
A Few Notes: Store in the fridge for an extra-refreshing spritz and extended shelf life — up to one year. This is especially handy if you’re purchasing multiple bottles. Best used within 6 months of opening for peak freshness. As always, patch test before full use if you have sensitive skin.
Winter Note: During colder months, hydrosols are shipped in BPA-free plastic bottles to prevent breakage and protect the integrity of the blend. We recommend transferring your hydrosol to the provided glass bottle upon arrival for continued storage.
