Lavender brings its familiar soft, herbal quiet while sweet orange adds a warm citrus lift. Together they make an easy everyday bar, fresh enough for morning, gentle enough for the end of the day.
But what makes this soap special is what sits beneath the scent.
This is an herb-infused soap, made with oils that have spent months resting with dried lavender and orange, slowly drawing the plants into the oil before the soap is ever made. Those infused oils are blended with shea butter, coconut, almond, castor and sunflower oils, along with raw beeswax.
The result is a particularly rich, conditioning bar with a creamy lather that cleans without leaving skin feeling tight or stripped. We intentionally formulate our soaps with a generous amount of beautiful oils, making them especially lovely for skin that tends to feel dry or easily bothered by conventional soap.
Yellow Brazilian clay and pink clay give this bar its naturally warm, sun-washed colour. Nothing artificial is added for colour or fragrance.
Made the old mercantile way
Each bar is tucked simply into a glassine bag. No elaborate box, just a beautifully made soap, wrapped lightly and meant to be used every day.
Our soaps are made by hand using traditional cold-process methods and cured slowly before they reach you. Because the botanicals, infused oils and clays naturally change with each harvest and season, you may notice small variations in colour, texture and shape from one batch to the next.
We like them that way.
A small note about softer soap
All those conditioning oils make this a slightly softer bar than many commercial soaps. Let it dry between uses on a well-draining soap dish and it will last beautifully.
Washing Tip: Use the molded side for a gentle massage over the skin.
Ingredients: Saponified oils of olive, coconut, shea butter, almond, castor and sunflower; raw beeswax; lavender-infused oil; orange-infused oil; yellow Brazilian clay; pink clay; vitamin E; and a micro-dose of lavender and sweet orange essential oils.
Naturally coloured with plants and clays. Botanicals are grown or sourced close to home whenever the season allows.
